South Ward Needs You
What are your plans on Saturday, April 21 at 9 AM?? Are you in need of fresh air and exercise?? Then, we have just the place for you to be!!
CeAnn Lane, Volunteer Chairman of the Grounds, needs all the help she can get. The plans are for a property clean up day. The school grounds have been neglected and needs all the help we can give it!
The school was opened in 1906 and closed in 2008. The property has been leased to the Clearwater Historical Society for a museum. The building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. South Ward was the first public elementary school and high school in Pinellas County and is the oldest school building in the county.
Please come out and support The Clearwater Historical Society.
