CHS Class of 1962 Septuagenarian Reunion 10/08/22

Dear CHS Septuagenarian Classmates!

I hope this post finds you grateful to be alive and looking forward to our 60th (and probably last!)  high school reunion to be held on October 8, 2022!  Let’s make it the best and rock to the music and memories of the 60’s!  Don’t be shy. Come as you are – You will be glad you did!

Our spectacular Class of 1962 has always had a spark all its own. Any time we gather the spark is there. We can still laugh and have a good time!

Below is some information for Friday and Saturday night, also a chance for you to express your suggestions, questions, etc.

Friday Night   We will meet at Marker 8 at 1420 Bayshore Blvd. Dunedin 34698 for happy hour(s) beginning at 5:00.  Please be prepared to pay for your own drinks.  Parking is on the opposite side of the street.

Saturday Night:  To continue our reunion, we will meet at Fairway Grille – Dunedin Golf Club at 1050 Palm Blvd., Dunedin, Fl 34698.

Cocktails will begin at 5:30 with a cash bar and free soft drinks.  The buffet dinner will begin at 7:00 including fish, chicken, beef, generous sides for vegetarians and dessert.

Assistance will be provided for those with walkers or wheelchairs.

There are a number of hotels in the area such as Comfort Suites,  Holiday Inn Express,  Fenway Hotel, Best Western Harbor Inn.  Please make your own arrangements.  (The reunion committee members are getting old and need your help!)

Reunion fee is $50 per person. Please make out your check to CHS Class of 62 Reunion and mail to Shirley Johnson, 2210 Utopian Dr. E. Apt. 102, Clearwater, Fl 33763 – the sooner the better!

Classmate Frank Oktavec P.A  and the CHS Class of 1962 Reunion Committee will be highlighting the lifework of classmate Hal Stowers as environmental ecological artist and sculptor. Hal and his wife B.J. are local artists in residence. Hal’s  professional biography and photo of his monumental stainless steel sculpture will be on display at the 60th Reunion celebration in October.
The sculpture is installed in downtown Clearwater on the southwest corner of Cleveland and Missouri — the Frank Crum corporate campus. The sculpture is titled SUN TIME.

gift copy of the coffee table book exhibiting Hal’s many sculptures will be available for viewing  at the Reunion — and then gifted from our Class to the CHS library.  The book is titled: HAL STOWERS & The Art of LIFE BLENDING®
How to Keep your Creative Juices Flowing by B.J. Stowers in collaboration with Hal Stowers, ASLA
